eQ Provider Portal

All about healthcare providers

I took charge of enhancing the front-end codebase and maintaining a constant flow of new features for the eQ Provider Portal web application. The goal was to offer healthcare providers a robust platform for managing healthcare authorizations effortlessly.

The challenge: Improve the provider experience

eQHealth Solutions now (Kepro/Acentra Health) is a market leader in assisting health care providers to adopt information technology services, population health management solutions, and medical management services. The company uses eQSuite, a cloud-based, SaaS technology platform that enables providers and care coordinators to access patient information, request prior authorizations, monitor care plans, and communicate with patients. The company also offers a provider portal, where health providers can submit and manage their prior authorization requests online, view their status and history, and receive notifications and alerts.

The challenge for this project was clear: how could we enhance the front end, introduce new features regularly, and provide a smooth workflow for healthcare authorizations?

My responsibility: Front-end development and feature innovation

As the driving force behind this initiative, I embraced a multifaceted role that extended from codebase enhancements to the continuous integration of new features. Here's an overview of my contributions:

  • Front-end codebase enhancement: My first task was to enhance the front-end codebase of the eQHealth Provider Portal. I meticulously reviewed and optimized the existing code to make sure it aligned with best practices, improving overall performance and user experience.
  • Constant flow of new features: An important aspect of this project was the regular addition of new features. I led the charge in identifying, conceptualizing, and implementing features that simplified the healthcare authorization process. This included a focus on usability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Healthcare providers management: The overarching goal was to offer healthcare providers a platform that not only met their current needs but also anticipated future requirements. The front-end enhancements and feature additions aimed to create a user-centric environment, allowing providers to manage authorizations effortlessly.

The impact: Simplified healthcare authorizations

The eQHealth Provider Portal project yielded tangible results that positively impacted healthcare providers:

  • Enhanced user experience: The front-end codebase enhancements contributed to a more responsive and user-friendly interface. Healthcare providers could navigate the portal effortlessly, improving their overall experience.
  • Efficient authorization management: The introduction of new features streamlined the healthcare authorization process. Providers could manage authorizations more efficiently, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing patient care.
